Akshay Kumar’s movie Kesari Chapter 2 is releasing today, on Friday, but it has already made headlines by earning Rs. 2.06 crore in advance. The movie has been produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Reports from theaters say that bookings worth Rs. 2 crore have already been made.
Kesari Chapter 2 will have 413 shows in Delhi, 594 in Gujarat, 199 in Punjab, and 814 in Maharashtra. Over 3,600 shows of the movie have already been booked. The film is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and is based on the life of Sankaran Nair, who was sued by Michael O’Dwyer. Akshay Kumar is playing the role of Sankaran Nair.
Earlier this year, Akshay Kumar’s movie Sky Force was released, which earned Rs. 110 crore. After that, another movie Khel Khel Mein was released, which didn’t impress the fans and could only earn Rs. 40 crore.
Since 2022, Akshay Kumar has delivered quite a few flop movies, such as Sarfira, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and Mission Raniganj, all of which failed at the box office.
